The Joey Logano Foundation & Congregations for Kids (CFK) partner together to provide dignity for older youth in foster care through in-person shopping experiences.

Charlotte, NC – Congregations for Kids (CFK), a non-profit that mobilizes the community to be champions for kids in foster care, is excited to continue to partner with the Joey Logano Foundation (JLF) to provide one-of-a-kind shopping experiences for older youth in foster care.

The Joey Logano Foundation invests in organizations offering second chances to children and young adults during times of crisis and works to inspire others to live a life of generosity. Through a generous grant, the Joey Logano Foundation committed to funding shopping trips for more than 45 kids in foster care in the Greater Charlotte area through summer of 2025.

These shopping trips allow kids to pick out name brand clothing they like and that fits their personal style. Each child will receive 3-4 seasonally appropriate outfits, undergarments, and new shoes. This initiative promotes dignity, self-worth, and self-expression, giving kids a voice and a choice in what they wear—something many children in foster care do not often experience. These shopping experiences empower our youth by providing them with items that help them feel confident and comfortable, reinforcing their sense of identity and individuality, while also meeting their immediate physical needs.

"It is invaluable to partner with JLF, an organization that acknowledges the significance of dignity and self-expression for these young adults. Observing the transformative impact these shopping trips have on the teenagers experiencing foster care is truly monumental. We are grateful for their investment in this confidence building experience and their trust in CFK's mission." - Nicole Taylor, Executive Director, Congregations for Kids

"In our second year of partnership with Congregation for Kids, the Joey Logano Foundation is thrilled to support shopping trips for youth in foster care. We understand the value that comes from a dignified shopping experience where youth get to select items that fit their own style, and the confidence that comes from this. Joey and I continue to be very proud of the incredible work Congregation for Kids does.” -Brittany Logano, Joey Logano Foundation Founding ViceChairman
