CFK supports the national ‘pinwheels for prevention’ effort to reframe the way the community thinks about child abuse and neglect prevention.
Each April, CFK joins communities nationwide in recognizing Child Abuse Prevention Month by planting pinwheels - a simple but powerful symbol of hope, healing, and our shared responsibility to protect children.
This year, we’ve reimagined our traditional Pinwheels for Prevention breakfast gathering to invite even more families, churches, and businesses to participate through Pinwheels on Wheels.
How to Get Involved:
For Individuals / Families:
Sign up to pick up a Pinwheel Kit from CFK and plant your pinwheels at your home as a simple way to stand for child abuse prevention. Family Kits include pinwheels, a yard sign, planting instructions, and age-appropriate resources to help guide meaningful conversations at home.
For Churches / Organizations:
Host a pinwheel display on your church or business campus, planting your pinwheels with other leaders, staff, or volunteers!
Fill out the form below to request your kit before March 20th!
This April, let’s fill our city with visible reminders that every child deserves safety, dignity, and a community that shows up.
Why the pinwheel?
The pinwheel, a national advocacy symbol, represents a childhood that is stable, healthy, and protected. A pinwheel twirling in the sun is reflective of the bright future every child deserves.
Let’s work together to help keep the kids in our community safe. Find out how to make a positive impact in the life of a child all year long.
